Who We Are
Clydesdale Football Academy is Lanark’s fastest-growing grassroots football club and a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO – SC054501). As a SCIO, we are committed to public benefit and community development. We hold the Scottish FA Quality Mark Silver Award, recognising our high standards of coaching, governance and child wellbeing.
We give every player the chance to develop, belong, and fall in love with football — regardless of age, gender, or ability.
With multiple boys’, girls’, and a thriving women’s team, we provide clear development pathways from first kicks to adult football. Our coaching is powered by Coerver®️ Coaching, the world’s number one football skills programme, ensuring players benefit from world-class training methods in a supportive, community-focused environment.
We also work with trusted local partners including physiotherapists, fitness experts, and wellbeing specialists to support the whole person, not just the athlete.
Our Story
Clydesdale Football Academy was founded to create something different in grassroots football: a club that blends professional coaching standards with genuine community values.
What began with a small group of players has grown into one of South Lanarkshire’s most dynamic and inclusive football communities. From our youngest first kicks groups to youth squads and a thriving women’s team, we are proud to offer opportunities for everyone who wants to play, learn, and improve.
The Academy is more than a football club. It is a place where children build confidence, where women and girls find new opportunities in sport, where families connect, and where coaches and volunteers play a vital role in shaping the future of the game in Lanark.
Our Future
The Academy has already achieved a huge amount in a short time, but we are only just getting started. With more players joining every season, more coaches stepping forward, and more partnerships being built, we are growing quickly and with purpose.
We have big ambitions for the years ahead. Our aim is to raise standards even further, expand opportunities for boys, girls, and women, and establish ourselves as the leading grassroots football academy in South Lanarkshire. Our vision is clear: to inspire the next generation, create pathways for talent, and become a driving force for positive change in our community.
