๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Child Wellbeing & Protection

At Clydesdale Football Academy, nothing matters more than the safety, wellbeing and happiness of our young players. We are fully committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child and young person who takes part in our club.

We proudly follow the standards set out by the Scottish Youth FA (SYFA) and the Scottish FA (SFA) โ€” putting childrenโ€™s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

โœ… Our Commitment

We believe that everyone has a responsibility to look after the children and young people in our care. Thatโ€™s why we ensure our coaches, volunteers, and team staff are trained, supported, and fully aligned with the latest child protection policies and procedures.

We promote a culture where players feel safe, listened to, and respected โ€” both on and off the pitch.

๐Ÿ“„ SYFA Child Wellbeing & Protection Policy

We fully adhere to the SYFA Child and Wellbeing and Protection Policy, which sets the national standards for youth football in Scotland.

โ€œThe Scottish Youth FA is committed to ensuring the safest possible environment for every child and young person playing football under our jurisdiction. We place the child at the heart of every decision we make and constantly strive to ensure every player has a positive footballing experience.โ€

๐Ÿ“˜ SFA Wellbeing & Protection Strategy

We support the Scottish FAโ€™s Child Wellbeing & Protection Strategy and work closely with its guidance to ensure best practices are in place at our club.

โ€œThe responsibility to safeguard and promote the wellbeing and protection of a child or young person does not rest on one person. We are all responsible.โ€

The SFA provides support, education, and clear standards across Scottish football to help create a safe and empowering environment for children, volunteers, and clubs alike.
